How converting your Target card works
Choose Target when you convert, and the live rate for the card is shown up front, before any card number is entered. The card number is stored encrypted, opened only to confirm the card is valid and what it is worth, and every access leaves an audit record you can read about on the Security page. You don't need an app or a credit card to begin.
Target gift card questions
- Can I convert a Target RedCard, or only a Target GiftCard?
- Only a Target GiftCard balance. A RedCard is a payment card tied to your bank or credit account, not a gift-card code, so it isn't something gc4.ai converts.
- I only have part of a Target card left — is a partial balance fine?
- Yes. The live rate applies to whatever balance the card actually holds when it is verified, so a partially spent card converts on its remaining value.
- Does converting a Target card get me AI credit or a Target purchase?
- AI credit. The Target value is turned into one gc4.ai balance for models like Claude, GPT and Gemini — there is no Target order involved, and the credit is spent per token as you use it.
